They could've made it so that the narrative said it washed to a zone in the Broken Isle where you could get materials of use at the same time AND progress on your fishing artifact), itstops being fun and it becomes work- You know, I don't even know if I can call it work, because there's at least decent payoff to working. They wanted to pay homage to the old hoaxes surrounding the Ashbringer and how to get it, but the very INSTANT your game becomes a grindfest and a USELESS one at that (note how you get NO fish of use from this.
